Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute detailed electrical design engineering activities in alignment with overall construction schedules
- Develop and implement design concepts and documentation standards for construction engineering deliverables
- Lead and supervise engineers, assistant engineers, and drafting specialists; monitor progress and quality of work
- Deliver key design documents: cable ladder layout, equipment and penetration arrangement, cable routing, cut hole lists, 3D modeling, and support layouts
- Prepare procurement engineering documents for electrical bulks: technical specifications, material take-offs (MTO), and technical bid evaluations
- Participate in project meetings, 3D model reviews, technical discussions, and workshops; respond to design-related queries and review deliverables (e.g., VCDs, interface documents, workshop reports)
- Liaise with clients, statutory bodies, and classification societies to ensure compliance with regulatory and design requirements
- Review and consolidate MTOs, weight data, and equipment lists from engineering subcontractors
- Prepare and submit progress reports for internal review and external approvals; maintain design documentation and project databases
- Perform cost estimations for EICT (Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Telecom) detailed design scope
- Interpret client technical specifications and translate them into design concepts and key design deliverables (e.g., electrical installation standards, cable highway planning, main equipment specifications)
- Support commercial and contractual discussions related to design scope, variations, and technical clarifications
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering
