Key Responsibilities
- Execute the S&OP plan for the assigned unit, providing daily instructions to shift teams.
- Review and update start-up, shutdown, and operating guidelines and instructions/procedures.
- Initiate and apply multi-disciplinary process design and control strategies for processes and systems.
- Resolve process limitations and optimize production to maintain high utilization and availability.
- Monitor and optimize the day-to-day consumption of chemicals, additives, and other consumables for assigned units.
- Serve as the first-line troubleshooter, providing engineering support and preparing daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports (e.g., Utility reporting, KPI reporting).
- Contribute to optimizing the unit’s contribution to CPEI, Carbon footprint, and energy efficiency of the integrated refinery.
- Participate in safety assessments such as HAZOP and PHA, and lead investigations into incidents/near misses.
- Prepare, review, and improve assigned Operations NMS Work Procedures and maintain the Operating Manual for in-charge units.
- Lead small optimization/improvement projects as a change manager.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in oil refining and petrochemical industries.
