Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement of the processing capability and availability of Pretreatment (PTU) and Heat Treatment (HTU) units.
- Define the Basis of Design (BOD), Unit Specific Tolerances (UST), and Operating Limits for PTU and HTU.
- Build organizational competency regarding PTU and HTU processing technologies.
- Conduct test runs, resolve bottlenecks, develop solutions, and manage capital investments during early project lifecycle phases.
- Support operations in troubleshooting major process challenges and investigating high-risk non-conformances.
- Improve process safety by participating in risk assessments and managing action implementation.
- Serve as the Singapore refinery representative in the global technology team, sharing and executing best practices with Rotterdam and Porvoo refineries.
- Provide technical support for unit events including shutdowns, new feedstock introduction, investments, and start-ups.
Requirements
- B Sc. or higher degree in Chemical Engineering or a relevant field.
- Demonstrated understanding of Renewable products chemical processing unit operations and engineering.
- At least 4 years of work experience in process engineering and operations within the oil and gas, refining, or petrochemical industry.
- Experience with pretreatment processes is required.
- Strong interpersonal and planning skills.
- Ability to influence within a global matrix organization with cultural awareness.
- High safety standards and strong influencing skills.
