Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing cost estimates for offshore engineering projects, including FPSO/module upgrades, offshore platform/FSRUs/FSUs conversions, and fabrication works
  • Support the development of work breakdown structures and cost breakdowns in alignment with project scopes
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Project Management teams to gather necessary inputs for accurate estimating
  • Participate in estimation reviews, bid meetings, and alignment discussions with stakeholders to ensure clarity and completeness of submissions
  • Monitor progress of estimating tasks to ensure that tender deliverables are submitted within the required timeframe
  • Support ongoing enhancement of estimating tools, templates, and processes tailored to marine and offshore upgrade projects
  • Conduct market research for material, labor, and subcontractor costs specific to offshore repair, upgrade, and conversion projects
  • Engage with vendors and subcontractors to collect quotations, clarify scope, and verify pricing data
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed cost summaries and comparative pricing reports
  • Analyze past project data and lessons learned to improve estimating accuracy and competitiveness in future tenders
  • Assist in reviewing contractual and commercial sections of tender documents to identify key cost implications and compliance requirements
  • Help ensure that cost estimates align with commercial expectations, contractual terms, and client specifications

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 1–3 years of experience in cost estimating, quantity surveying, or project support in a marine and/or offshore environment
  • Familiarity with ship repair, offshore platform fabrication, or rig repair processes is preferred
  • Basic ability to read technical drawings and project specifications
  • Detail-oriented with good analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
