Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee Production Engineering projects to ensure timely and efficient execution
- Plan, allocate, and monitor resources to meet project schedules and operational targets
- Implement, monitor, and analyze monthly departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Review engineering drawings to ensure production feasibility and hull structural efficiency
- Interpret ship design drawings and prepare Production Engineering (PE) deliverables
- Ensure timely issuance of PE deliverables and AFC drawings in accordance with project schedules
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, NUPAS, TEKLA) for 2D/3D modeling and nesting software (e.g., NESITX, ALMA CAM) to optimize material usage
- Coordinate with design engineers and production teams to clarify technical specifications
- Implement and maintain departmental operating procedures aligned with organizational goals
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality
- Monitor compliance with Owner’s specifications, Classification Society requirements, international standards, and the Company’s Quality Management System
- Investigate and rectify Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and implement preventive measures
Requirements
- Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent field
- Ability to work outside regular working hours, including evenings, weekends, public holidays, or night shifts, when required by operational needs
- Willingness to travel to other work sites or overseas, when required for business purposes
- Knowledge of supervisory and team management principles
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good problem-solving and organizational skills
- Relevant technical competencies required to perform the job scope
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
