Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and select vendors for software, IoT, networking, and digital solutions
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to optimize cost and value
- Manage end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including RFQs, RFPs, and contract management
- Conduct sourcing activities, obtain competitive quotes, and evaluate supplier proposals
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with internal policies and approval matrices
- Support contract and price negotiations to achieve cost savings and value improvements
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing, lead times, and supplier data within systems
- Interact with approved suppliers to track order status, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery
- Liaise with vendors regarding product specifications, delivery schedules, and order fulfilment issues
- Escalate supplier performance issues and support vendor evaluation processes
- Collaborate with IT teams to understand technical requirements and ensure compatibility of purchased products
- Evaluate vendor offerings for technical compliance, scalability, and security standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in IT procurement or IT asset management
- Strong knowledge of software licensing models (SaaS, perpetual, subscription)
- Strong knowledge of IoT devices and protocols
- Strong knowledge of networking hardware and configurations
- Strong knowledge of digital platforms and cloud services
- Familiarity with IT security standards and compliance frameworks
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills
- Resourceful with high level of honesty and integrity
- Has initiative and holds information in the strictest confidence
- Strong working knowledge of SAP (MM module preferred) and/or Oracle procurement modules
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
