Key Responsibilities
- Support the General Counsel in establishing and implementing a global legal framework and policies
- Lead legal oversight for day-to-day business operations, including commercial contracts and procurement agreements
- Manage legal matters related to business operations, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, restructuring, and new business initiatives
- Review and refine internal legal processes to ensure compliance with changing laws and regulations in offshore, marine, and renewables sectors
- Draft, review, and negotiate procurement and commercial contracts with clients, vendors, and partners
- Develop and maintain contract templates, term sheets, and legal frameworks aligned with global standards
- Ensure proper documentation and safekeeping of all legal agreements
- Manage external counsels assisting with agreement reviews or projects
- Work closely with the General Counsel to manage litigation cases and dispute resolution, including civil claims, commercial disputes, and regulatory investigations
- Supervise legal and case preparation, review litigation strategies, and ensure alignment with business interests
- Provide regular updates and reports on ongoing litigation and disputes to senior management
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance, regulatory, and licensing requirements across all jurisdictions
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Law or equivalent from recognized university
- Minimum 10 years of PQE (Post Qualified Experience) preferably with established law firm or corporate in-house legal environment
- Experience in civil and commercial litigation, contract drafting
- Experience in construction law, EPC, international trade, or intellectual property work an advantage
- Commercial legal experience in a law firm or as-house legal counsel preferred
- Good knowledge of laws applicable to company’s operations and businesses
- Strong communicator and possess a commercially savvy approach to legal matters
- Sound knowledge in handling domestic and cross-border / regional dispute resolution litigation
