About the role
AI summarisedJoin the Product Engineering (PE) – Functional Design Validation (FDV) team at Micron Technology to define, develop, and maintain the test program infrastructure for next-generation Replacement-Gate (RG) NAND designs. This role focuses on building scalable, reusable, and automated test program frameworks to support deterministic and pseudo-random validation flows, playing a key role in architecting the backbone of FDV test programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel test algorithms and test programs for validating NAND features and commands.
- Build and enhance the test program backbone architecture, supporting deterministic flows, RSG-based validation, and new NAND interfaces.
- Contribute to AI/Machine Learning initiatives to improve validation efficiency, coverage, and infrastructure intelligence.
- Drive automation of test program development, execution, and debug workflows using scripting and software tools.
- Study and analyze the latest RG NAND designs, with emphasis on customer-mode and system-relevant operations.
- Execute functional and design validation on new NAND devices using high-speed ATE platforms.
- Perform detailed failure analysis, investigate root causes, and track corrective actions to closure.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with NAND Design, Application Engineering, Product, System, and Validation teams to resolve device issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in software development and scripting (e.g., C/C++, Perl, Python).
- Strong interest in design validation, characterization, and product engineering.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with careful attention to root cause analysis.
- Effective communication skills in written and spoken English, including documentation and presentation.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced development environment.
