Key Responsibilities
- Provide second-level technical support focusing on electronics, electrical, and automation systems such as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and EnergetIQ
- Monitor fleet performance, evaluate operational data, and optimize systems post-commissioning
- Offer office-based technical support for service technicians across the Asia-Pacific region
- Perform risk assessments for commissioning scope and attend toolbox meetings
- Ensure strict adherence to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) policies
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and attend Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) as required
- Collaborate with the 'Flying Doctor' team to instruct and guide Engineers/Technicians
- Supervise and assess Engineers/Technicians to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Coordinate with project teams for daily planning and execution of commissioning and testing activities
- Troubleshoot issues remotely, including complex cases and customer communications
- Serve as the case owner for Customer Care Center (CCC) tickets and provide regional support
- Perform on-site or remote troubleshooting and optimization of plant operations
Requirements
- Minimum Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or related Engineering disciplines
- Minimum of 5–10 years of relevant experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems and Microgrids
- Strong knowledge of control systems and electrical installations
- Hands-on experience with Low Voltage (LV), Medium Voltage (MV), and High Voltage (HV) Direct Current (DC) switchboards and battery systems
- Familiarity with international and local standards: Germany DGUV Rule 103-011 VDE 0105-100
- Familiarity with Singapore Standard SS CP5: Code of Practice for Electrical Installations
- Familiarity with SS 538: Code of Practice for Maintenance of Electrical Equipment of Electrical Installations
- Preferred: Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) certification or equivalent
- Qualified and certified to handle 1000VDC high voltage electrical installations, or willingness to undertake training and obtain relevant certification
- Skilled in testing and calibration of BESS control panels and electrical switchboard components
- Proficient in system troubleshooting and understanding technical specifications
- Good command of IT tools including MS Office and network-related configuration
- Strong initiative, logical thinking, and ability to perform under pressure
- Willingness to travel occasionally for project coordination and customer engagement
