Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements company and regulatory quality standards in Laboratory facility.
  • Knowledgeable of industry and governmental regulations affecting product quality.
  • Develops, implements, revises, and maintains quality standards, tools and methods for processing materials into finished products.
  • Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment.
  • Analyzes production limitations and standards.
  • Recommends revision of specifications when indicated.
  • Formulates or assists in formulating quality control policies and procedures.
  • Drives quality improvement and cost reduction using Six Sigma or Lean methodology.
  • Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the laboratory quality management system and to identify the occurrence of departure from the quality management system and initiate actions to prevent or minimize such departures.
  • Supervise all testing activities associated with batch release and environmental monitoring.
  • Be an Approved Signatory to issue SAC endorsed report, to take responsibility for the validity and ensure adequacy of test result, design quality control programs, set action criteria and take corrective action when required.
  • Provide advice and guidance in technical matters, opinion and interpretation based on results, and identify and resolve technical related problem.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology/ Biochemistry or related discipline or Diploma with minimum 3 to 5 years of experience.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in microbiology laboratory testing or relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Good leadership and problem-solving skill.
  • Good communication and report writing skill.
  • Practical experience in working in a fast-pace laboratory environment with tight datelines and able to solve problems in a speedy and methodical manner with good follow-up on action items.
  • Able to conduct effective laboratory investigations.
  • Ability to lead and supervise a group of laboratory analysts to provide prompt service to support production activities in a safe and productive environment.
