Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with client project teams, external consultants and internal stakeholders to comprehensively define project requirements, scope and technical objectives.
- Convert project requirements into optimized engineering solutions that fulfill customer needs and provide a competitive advantage through right design and equipment selection.
- Ensure all proposed solutions adhere strictly to local standards, regulation, codes and safety requirements.
- Produce comprehensive engineering packages, including capacity and design calculations, technical drawings, single line diagrams, layouts and specifications.
- Develop solution presentations, value propositions and compliance matrices to demonstrate technical alignment.
- Design solutions should ensure successful project implementation and customer satisfaction.
- Provide technical guidance to the teams during installation regarding engineering processes, tools, procedures, regulatory compliance while ensuring quality control and accurate technical interpretation.
- Provide bid management support through the preparation of technical solution proposals, including the development of detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Identify and qualify third-party vendors. Establish preliminary cost estimates and ensure alignment with project budgetary requirements.
- Lead the training and development of internal staff and external partners to ensure the high level technical competency required for successful service delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years in Engineering or related discipline, particularly in mission critical applications and consulting engagement skills
- In depth understanding of electrical distribution system design, including knowledge of electrical system components such as transformers, HV, MV, LV switchboards, electrical switchboard design standards, grounding, generator systems, etc.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of global best practices for the design, installation and operation of electrical systems.
- Possess proven skills in project engineering and the development of technical documentation, supported by strong capabilities in vendor qualification and commercial negotiation.
- Confidently engage and build professional relationships with senior IT directors, facility managers, external consultants and executive-level stakeholders within major corporations
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities with a structured methodology for developing, mentoring and motivating the Engineering and Project team.
- A strong communicator capable of articulating complex technical and non-technical information effectively, both in writing and verbally, to diverse audiences.
- Maintain a professional, customer-centric approach when engaging with both internal and external clients.
