Key Responsibilities
- Establish and enforce tendering framework with guidelines to track key tender bid processes, milestones and deliverables from the bid team.
- Work with internal governance team members to review contract terms and conditions as well as subject matter experts opinions on solution and delivery risks mitigation approach.
- Develop costing tables and conduct analysis on the financial aspects and impact of the bid.
- Collate and compile costing from various internal and external parties or other business units.
- Initiate approval process for bid submission and update stakeholders on the aspect of the bid as needed.
- Conduct preliminary review of the client terms and condition of contract during the bid stage and follow-up with the SMEs review of the contract (Financial, risk management, legal, technical).
- Lead commercial and contract terms and conditions negotiation on a case to case basis.
- Conduct refresher training to sales and solution team on commercial and tender process from time to time.
- Mentor and guide junior tender managers from time to time.
- Conduct commercial risk assessment on bids.
- Coordinate and direct the solution and project management team in the technical solution and delivery risk assessment of bids.
Requirements

- Proven skills in the areas of tender management, contract review and negotiations.
- Strong communicator – both written and verbal in technical and non-technical environment.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Demonstrate methodical work organization and adherence to process.
- Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrates effective time management skills.
- Excellent business ethics and integrity.
- Strong financial acumen and aptitude to work with a quantitative (gross margin) and qualitative (strategic etc.) targets. Posses past experience in cost avoidance, saving, able to counter-propose customer with the best efficient & economical solutions in consideration of constraints.
- Demonstrates flexibility in operational style to meet the requirements or multi-culture position.
- Strong ability in developing relationships and communicating with senior business executives and business stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Power point presentations.
- At least 5-10 years in commercial and tender management in global multi-national companies or large construction companies.
- At least 2-3 years of the above experience involving large/multinational/multiregional customers.
- Experience working in a cross cultural and cross entity environment are essential
- Ability to work independently
- Experience as a team leader will be an advantage.
- Multilingual ability and cross-cultural experience is highly desirable.
- Familiar with common contracts used in the construction industry (SIA, BCA, FIDIC) would be an added advantage.
