Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver the Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) Improvement Plans and Risk Mitigation strategy, in collaboration with key functional stakeholders.
- Facilitate compliance to global HSE standards and advise on legal compliance with local legislation.
- Promote a strong HSE culture across operations in warehousing environment.
- Build trust and confidence with site operations leaders and influences change through risk based and data-driven decision-making around HSE performance.
- Support site Managers / Safety Champions and frontline teams to identify HSE hazards in the workplace, and select controls to eliminate or reduce these.
- Support site Managers / Safety Champions in their duty to determine the root-causes of incidents and eliminating these, inc. the facilitation of learning teams.
- Deliver HSE training and awareness programs to address compliance and capability gaps.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure third party labour HSE controls are in place.
- Coordinate HSE Committee meetings to ensure alignment of HSE initiatives and programs.
- Conduct routine site visits to operational sites.
- Perform HSE impact and risk assessments regularly, including Growth & Integration phase.
- Stay updated on country HSE regulations and industry best practices to strengthen compliance.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of relevant HSE working experience, ideally in Logistics
- Tertiary qualified in relevant field i.e. Safety, Environment, etc.
- Registered as a Workplace safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Experience in conducting both internal and external audits.
- Process driven individual with strong communication skills and analytical mindset
- Experience in Project Management with a focus on compliance and continuous improvement.
- Ability to influence and drive change.
- Knowledge of Dangerous goods (IMDG/IATA) would be advantageous.
