Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with demand forecasts and capacity constraints
- Coordinate material, labor, and equipment allocation to support manufacturing execution
- Monitor production progress and identify deviations from plan, initiating corrective actions
- Analyze production data to detect bottlenecks and recommend process improvements
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and shop floor teams to ensure material availability
- Update and maintain planning systems with accurate routings, lead times, and resource availability
- Support S&OP and MPS processes by providing input on capacity utilization and load balancing
- Generate performance reports on key metrics such as OEE, schedule adherence, and throughput
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy and responsiveness
- Communicate schedule changes and risks to stakeholders in a timely manner
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, work center loading, and capacity planning
- Ability to interpret bills of material (BOMs) and routings
- Experience with demand forecasting and inventory management principles
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is preferred
- Familiarity with production execution systems (MES) is a plus
- Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and accuracy
