Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Illumina consumable product portfolio, focusing on contract manufacturer’s operations at worldwide locations.
- Provide advanced failure analysis, root cause identification, and corrective actions for product quality concerns during manufacturing and NPI ramp with internal stakeholders and contract manufacturers.
- Analyze field quality data to identify areas for prevention and improved detection.
- Drive capacity improvement and expansion plans to meet volume ramp, including qualifying new tools for high-volume manufacturing.
- Collaborate with R&D to develop Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM) processes for NPI, providing feedback on material selection and test plans.
- Proactively drive process improvement activities through FMEA to recommend enhancements to processes or test methods.
- Interpret test results and correlate them with product failure performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering/Science (Chemistry, Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, Material, or related field).
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in the biotech industry is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in manufacturing processes, methodologies, and environments.
- Skilled in yield engineering, continuous improvement, and failure analysis of multiple reliability failure modes.
- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance and Process Control Knowledge.
- Excellent Analytical, Problem Solving, and Project Management skills.
- Ability to define test plans for components, materials, and systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; must be a strong team player.
