Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert supporting day-to-day export and import operational transactions within the AMEA region.
- Manage shipment processes, SPL block release, license management, and reporting using SAP GTS.
- Liaise with local governmental agencies to successfully resolve import and export holds.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate import/export risks across the AMEA region while enforcing internal controls.
- Drive customs valuation activities for foreign jurisdictions in collaboration with Tax and Legal teams.
- Maintain accurate trade data, including HTS codes, Country of Origin, valuation, and invoice accuracy for compliant customs clearance.
- Maintain comprehensive recordkeeping and document management for all import/export transactions.
- Conduct internal audits to identify compliance gaps and drive necessary corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Logistics, Trade Compliance, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of import/export experience with a dedicated focus on trade compliance and logistics.
- Technical expertise in customs valuation and Country of Origin (COO) requirements.
- Strong working knowledge of Singapore customs regulations.
- Experience with import and export regulations in Korean, Japanese, Indian, and Australian markets.
- Strong working knowledge of HTS code classification for the AMEA region.
- Proficiency with SAP ECC functions.
