Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all customer quality processes to meet and exceed established customer quality baselines
  • Conduct and lead product quality analyses including DFMEA, PFMEA, DPU, and other problem-solving methodologies
  • Attend and lead customer quality meetings, addressing all quality-related topics promptly and effectively
  • Track all quality issues reported by customer accounts, identify repeat issues, and initiate investigations with engineering and project teams
  • Track and follow up on all Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities; ensure RCAs are completed within agreed timelines
  • Understand customer-specific quality processes and ensure these are implemented within projects
  • Keep customers fully informed of ongoing quality topics, actions, and progress
  • Support pre-sales activities by reviewing quality requirements, identifying risks, and providing quality-related recommendations
  • Lead Product Safety Assessments to ensure products meet company and regulatory safety standards
  • Present insights, metrics, and lessons learned relating to quality and product safety to customers
  • Maintain proper documentation of all quality assessments, safety assessments, and issue logs
  • Investigate regional quality issues and collaborate with Engineering, Execution, Field Service, and other stakeholders to resolve them

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related discipline
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in Quality Management, Quality Assurance, or Quality Engineering within industrial, manufacturing, marine, heavy equipment, or power systems environments
  • Experience in the diesel engine, generator, or backup power/data centre power systems industry is an added advantage
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, audit processes, and QMS requirements
  • Competent in problem-solving and quality tools (8D, RCA, FMEA, CAPA, statistical methods)
  • Experience handling customer quality cases and driving formal issue-resolution processes
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong documentation, governance, and process-control skills
  • Experience in power systems, rotating equipment, diesel/gas engines, mtu products, or similar complex engineered systems
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification
