Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Technical Field Domain Expert, providing consultation and support to Global, Regional, and Site Facilities and Manufacturing teams.
  • Analyze system designs to identify improvements leading to better performance, efficiency gains, reduced maintenance, and cost savings.
  • Support sites with problem analysis using standard tools and methodologies when issues arise.
  • Lead the Facilities Digitalization and SMART Facilities program initiatives.
  • Support Global, Regional, and Site Design and Construction project teams in the engineering development for new large-scale Facilities Infrastructure Expansion projects.
  • Develop, review, and maintain Micron Global Design and Construction Standards and Construction Specifications for respective systems.
  • Develop system design concepts, including Control System Architecture, System P&IDs, Sequence of Operations, and Functional Description of System Operations.
  • Perform timely review of design packages, providing documented comments to ensure compliance with all standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Monitor construction projects, providing Engineering and Design support, and assisting with cost and schedule estimates.

Requirements

  • Proven experience providing engineering system ownership for critical Facilities infrastructure.
  • Expertise in Instrumentation & Controls (I&C), FMCS, SCADA, Life Safety Systems, Toxic Gas Monitoring, Telecom, and Security systems.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse internal partners including Technology Development, Procurement, Finance, and Legal.
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex facility system issues using standard methodologies.
  • Experience supporting design, construction, operation, and maintenance phases of large-scale facilities projects.
  • Ability to maintain technical knowledge domain expertise on industry standards, best practices, and technological advances.
  • Experience in developing or reviewing engineering design packages for compliance and performance.
