Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and organize projects involving 10-20 software developers through quarterly planning cycles using Agile/Scrum methodologies (similar to SAFe).
  • Drive project and scrum teams toward successfully meeting all delivery commitments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years leading and managing complex software development projects.
  • 2+ years of recent experience managing software development projects spanning multiple teams.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and project planning/execution, including estimating and scheduling.
  • Proven ability to work independently and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Polished communication skills, capable of presenting complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical leadership.
  • Ability to understand scientific concepts relevant to genome sequencing technologies.
  • Demonstrated business judgment in navigating complex program challenges for enterprise-scale software delivery.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a strong sense of ownership over outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a matrix environment and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience using JIRA or an equivalent system to manage software development.
