Key Responsibilities
- Originate, evaluate, and deliver new equity and business development opportunities for Crude Trading aligned with the EED Trading desk strategy.
- Conduct research and analysis of medium- to long-term investments in independent producers, refiners, and logistics companies.
- Develop and manage strategic customer and partner relationships to strengthen Shell’s commercial positioning and market access.
- Design and deliver innovative commercial solutions that maximize the value of tradable options while managing credit, price risk, HSSE, and compliance.
- Lead the negotiation of complex commercial agreements to maximize equity investment and trading value across financing, hedging, and M&A.
- Project-manage new development opportunities end to end, leading cross-functional project teams to successful delivery.
Requirements
- Proven commercial experience in Business Development, M&A, and/or Structured Trade Finance.
- Ability to develop innovative financial and commercial solutions in competitive market environments.
- Essential experience with working capital optimization, pre-financing structures, equity deployment, M&A transactions, and risk management solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively on cross-business and cross-functional initiatives with an “Enterprise First” mindset.
- Strong organizational, influencing, and stakeholder management skills are required.
- Ability to operate autonomously, show initiative, and manage complex projects end to end.
