Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all stages of cleanroom tool hook-up, including pre-installation planning, equipment rigging, placement, and utility connections (gases, chemicals, ultra-pure water, exhaust, power, chilled water).
  • Collaborate with facility engineers, equipment vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of tools into the fabrication infrastructure, including coordinating penetrations, structural supports, and piping.
  • Review and authorize hookup designs, P&IDs, and engineering documentation for installations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive schedules for tool installations, tracking project progress and communicating status updates to senior management.
  • Plan and execute equipment hookup for new, conversion, unhooking, and relocation tools to meet quality standards and budgets.
  • Manage all tool install contractors' site work activities to comply with EHS regulations, risk assessment, and safe work procedures.
  • Perform utilities and cleanroom system troubleshooting, conducting root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Plan, track, and update the utilities database to support manufacturing production tools.
  • Control costs associated with tool installs, minimizing expenditures and promoting cost reduction projects.

Requirements

  • Detail understanding of design philosophy/concept of Facilities utilities systems to manufacturing production tools.
  • Adherence to company’s environmental safety health policy, standard operating procedure with risk assessment, and good housekeeping standards.
  • Ability to manage resources necessary to achieve desired goals and objectives.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (facility engineers, vendors, contractors).
  • Experience managing cleanroom projects, including upgrades and expansion initiatives.
  • Proficiency in planning and tracking capital and expense expenditure related to tool installs.
