Key Responsibilities
- Conduct defect troubleshooting, failure analysis, reliability trending, and engineering studies on infrastructure assets (track, third rail, point, viaduct, tunnel, station, depot).
- Develop solutions to complex problem statements identified within the railway infrastructure.
- Provide technical advice to team members and resolve issues pertaining to frontline engineering train faults.
- Manage contractors and stakeholders to ensure achievement of operating and quality standards.
- Draft technical work instructions for preventive and corrective maintenance activities and quality procedures.
- Identify, propose, and implement cost-effective technologies or process changes to enhance system performance.
- Support LTA and SMRT projects by reviewing design specifications for adequacy in safety, reliability, maintainability, and operability.
- Work effectively with Operations and Maintenance staff to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient daily operations.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, or Civil & Structural Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work hands-on in both office and site environments alongside technical teams.
- Must be able to work in rotating or fixed shifts as required by the operational needs.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Fluent in written and oral communication skills in English.
