Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct defect troubleshooting, failure analysis, and reliability trending for railway infrastructure assets (track, third rail, point, viaduct, tunnel, station, depot).
  • Provide technical advice to team members and resolve complex issues related to railway infrastructure and engineering train faults.
  • Manage contractors and stakeholders to ensure achievement of operating and quality standards.
  • Draft technical work instructions for preventive and corrective maintenance activities and quality procedures.
  • Identify, propose, and implement cost-effective technologies or process changes to enhance system performance.
  • Support division objectives by ensuring the timely completion of assigned duties and projects.
  • Work effectively with Operations and Maintenance staff to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient daily operations.
  • Support LTA and SMRT projects by reviewing design specifications for adequacy in safety, reliability, maintainability, and operability.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical/Electronics/Civil & Structural Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working hands-on in both office and site environments alongside technical staff.
  • Ability to work in rotating or fixed shifts as per MOM guidelines.
  • Adept with diagnostics and reliability engineering methods (e.g., FMECA, Fault Tree analysis, Weibull analysis).
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Fluent in written and oral communication skills in English.
