Key Responsibilities
- Perform new customer and laboratory site inspections for contract preparations and new installations.
- Provide Level I and Level II service, including complex service interventions requiring more than 4 hours of labor.
- Install instruments, AbbottLink, and automation systems.
- Schedule, perform, and document hardware and software updates (TSBs) exceeding 2 hours.
- Deliver introductory customer operator training post-install or after upgrades.
- Assist with customer business reviews and provide technical coaching to Abbott Ambassadors.
- Manage service sales, service cost management, spare parts, and inventory.
- Maintain timely reporting through systems like CMS Next while complying with Abbott Quality and Regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Field Service Engineering experience in relevant industries (diagnostics, medical device, semiconductor) is preferred.
- Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply.
- Proven ability to build successful relationships with customers, key stakeholders, and lab staff.
- Demonstrated excellent product knowledge and process skills related to service delivery functions.
- Strong ability to identify and drive resolutions, acting as a technical expert for the product line.
- Excellent communication skills and experience utilizing analytical tools/software.
- Proven coaching and training abilities.
- Willingness to provide rotational standby after work hours and work overtime when urgent service issues arise.
