Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction to the Quality Assurance team to efficiently support plant operations.
- Serve as the Quality System Management Representative for the site.
- Ensure Abbott Nutrition Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures are fully implemented and operational across all raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
- Oversee product inspection and testing, reviewing quality data to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Be responsible for the timely release of all products following agreed-upon analysis schedules.
- Collaborate across operational and technical teams to assure product conformance and efficacy requirements are met.
- Ensure full compliance with all Abbott and Regulatory Requirements.
- Drive and implement continuous improvements to enhance product quality and food safety in a cost-effective manner.
- Drive Lean/Sigma continuous improvement projects within the department and ensure compliance with GMPs, hygiene rules, and sanitation standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing QA Department.
- Minimum 5 years of management experience.
- Cross-functional experience in operations, engineering, or alternate technical function alongside quality leadership.
- Proven management of external regulatory inspections, audits, and liaison with competent authorities.
- Knowledge of nutritional/pharmaceutical/food manufacturing industry is required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and develop employees.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
