Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and supervise contractor works, including laying fibre optic cable, installing cable trays, and testing telecommunication equipment.
- Manage customer requests regarding access to SMRT premises (Depots, Stations & Tracks) by providing all necessary requirements.
- Attend Engineering Work Request forums/meetings to deconflict customer applications and site access issues.
- Act as the on-site coordinator, granting contractors safe access to work within stations and tracks.
- Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with internal rules and regulations.
- Standby for maintenance or attend ad-hoc activities as assigned by the department.
Requirements
- Minimum NITEC qualification in Electronics/Electrical/Data Communication discipline OR Minimum 3 years of experience in cabling works with contractors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with large and diverse teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good oral and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Willingness to perform duties during non-passenger service hours (2300h to 0700h) from time to time.
