Key Responsibilities
- Provide customer service and technical support for mtu mobile power systems across APAC, covering both marine and industrial applications
- Support customers through the full lifecycle from pre-sales technical clarification to after-sales service and issue resolution
- Act as a technical point of contact for customers, subsidiaries, distributors, and service partners
- Provide on-site or off-site support as required, including regional travel when necessary
- Provide leads and support to the Sales organisation where required
- Support the Customer Care Center on technical and service-related matters
- Support installation, commissioning, and evaluation activities for mobile power systems
- Provide technical support for controls and automation systems in the mobile applications
- Coordinate and support service activities related to installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of mobile power systems
- Supervise and guide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) activities where required
- Lead and support breakdown troubleshooting, diagnostics, failure analysis, and crisis recovery situations
- Coordinate with field service engineers, service partners, and regional teams to ensure timely and effective service execution
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in commissioning and/or technical support for controls and automation within diesel engines and marine applications
- Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in commissioning and/or technical support for controls and automation within mobile power systems and industrial applications
- Strong hands-on exposure to aftermarket service, commissioning, troubleshooting, and breakdown support
- Proven experience supporting customers in a technical, operational, and service context
- Willingness to travel regionally within APAC for service and customer support as required
- Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Holding WSQ / HS&E safety certifications or equivalent
- Experience supporting both marine and industrial applications
- Prior exposure to crisis management or critical failure recovery situations
- Experience working with Failure Analysis Centres or formal root cause analysis processes
