Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize unit processes to meet the yield and quality requirements of advanced NAND part type.
- Integrate and troubleshoot processes as part of cross-functional teams driving yield and quality improvement.
- Translate future technology device needs into clear process requirements in collaboration with Boise TD peers on upcoming nodes.
- Identify disruptive processes early and collaborate with manufacturing and Boise TD to define a viable path forward.
- Perform fundamental research, hardware evaluations, and test processes for novel applications to generate intellectual property.
- Initiate and manage experiments to widen process margins and test the manufacturability of next node solutions.
- Identify process simplification opportunities and drive cross-functional teams in implementation.
- Design and implement advanced process monitoring and control methodologies.
Requirements
- PhD in Materials Science, Chemical/Microelectronic Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Semiconductor Wet Process development.
- Deep understanding of chemistry, chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, and mass transport.
- Understanding of general process steps and process flow for memory processing, particularly planar and vertical NAND memory.
- Working knowledge of data analysis systems such as Y3 to facilitate experimental data analysis.
- Working knowledge of Design of Experiments (DoE).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for local and remote technical conveyances.
- Ability to be self-motivated, adaptable, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
