Key Responsibilities
- Develop Security firmware IP subsystems for SSD products that meet or exceed technical specifications across Security, Performance, Functionality, and Quality/Reliability.
- Develop firmware unit and functional tests to ensure the firmware subsystem meets all required quality, functional, and performance benchmarks during product development.
- Provide consistent, detailed technical updates on firmware development activities and project status to management and cross-functional teams.
- Foster collaborative relationships with peers and management while providing technical guidance to improve team involvement, morale, and productivity.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years experience in embedded firmware development, OR
- Masters/Bachelors in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 5 years' experience in embedded firmware development.
- Expertise in programming languages such as C, C++, or RUST.
- Proficiency in conducting analysis, designs, programming, debugging, and modifying software for firmware applications.
- Proven ability to resolve complex code problems within firmware applications.
- Understanding of storage interfaces, ideally PCIe/NVMe, SATA, or SAS.
