Key Responsibilities
- Set and deliver the Bank's inorganic growth and strategic partnership agenda in partnership with business and function heads.
- Originate and evaluate M&A, investments, divestments, JVs, and partnerships; develop strategic rationale and business cases.
- Lead end-to-end execution including valuation/modelling, structuring, due diligence, negotiation, approvals, and documentation.
- Manage senior governance by preparing materials for management and Board/committees and coordinating decision forums.
- Drive value realisation post-deal through integration/separation activities and synergy delivery.
- Build and manage a high-performing corporate development team.
Requirements
- 15+ years' experience in Corporate Development / M&A / Strategy / Investment Banking / Corporate Finance (banking or financial services preferred).
- Proven deal execution track record (buy-side and/or sell-side): valuation, structuring, due diligence, negotiation and closing.
- Strong corporate finance fundamentals (financial statements, valuation, modelling) and working knowledge of key legal/regulatory and governance considerations.
- Executive-level stakeholder management: ability to influence C-suite/ExCo and support Board/committee decision-making.
