Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed hook-up execution plans, work packs, and task lists based on project scope and design documents
- Coordinate interfaces between engineering, construction, procurement, commissioning, and onsite operations
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, layouts, cable schedules, and installation procedures
- Ensure design and field changes are captured and approved through the Management of Change (MOC) process
- Supervise onsite crews during hook-up/de-hookup and pre-commissioning activities, monitoring daily progress and quality
- Ensure correct installation and connection of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and piping systems
- Coordinate with commissioning engineers to align hook-up sequence with testing and start-up requirements
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, as-built documentation, and red-marked drawings
- Prepare and raise Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) in collaboration with procurement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, or related Engineering discipline
- Typically 3 to 7 years of experience in project engineering, construction, hook-up, or commissioning
- Proficient in reviewing technical documentation such as P&IDs and cable schedules
- Strong understanding of HSE policies and participation in Job Safety Analyses (JSA)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on a normal shift
- AutoCAD skill is an added advantage
- Good verbal and written communication skills with a strong sense of urgency
