Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with other Rolls-Royce functions and customers (overhaul bases and component repair business units) to identify and implement new repair development and/or cost reduction projects
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, new repair processes and technologies
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) reviews
  • Be trained and assigned as Repair/Service Engineering Competent Author (CA) responsible for the development of technical repair/service documents to support the engine programs and meet the design and regulatory requirements, specifically on cost reduction
  • Support the overall CSC & Services Engineering strategies in region including the growth of repair capabilities and activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical capability based on practical knowledge and experience – preferable in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in robotics, machining or analytics, or development of new capabilities will be advantageous
  • Strong Problem-solving capabilities, along with effective communication skills
  • An ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking to a range of technical problems
  • Good global communication and presentation skills and have the ability to develop strong relationship across multiple functions, partners, suppliers and cultures
  • Proficient IT skills, basic Microsoft office suite ability
  • Ability to work independently on complex tasks that are novel and ambiguous
  • Experience with big data analytic tools like Tableau/PowerBi/Matlab or other programming expertise will beneficial
