Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of solutions to meet customer requirements, whilst ensuring the integrity of the System functional baseline and architecture
  • Contribute to defining solutions that deliver the best trade-off between requirements, cost, schedule and risk, which meet our customer's needs
  • Prepare Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Problem Change Requests (PCRs)
  • Create requirements and manage traceability using DOORS
  • Engage with transverse teams (Safety, Human Factor, Performance, Security) related to the function are considered
  • Participate in technical reviews and working groups as required
  • Proactively participate in PI planning
  • Support your Squad members (software, integration and verification)
  • Promote knowledge sharing ensuring that work is captured sufficiently for re-use across projects
  • Follow Thales processes and practises and contribute to their improvement

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
  • Postgraduate studies in Systems Engineering (Desirable)
  • Experience in Air Traffic Management (ATM) is mandatory
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering Lifecycle and relevant standards eg. ISO/IEC15288
  • Knowledge of product development methodologies, with a particular focus on iterative/agile development
  • Knowledge of Safety, Security and Human Factors standards and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve effective outcomes in a multidiscipline, multi-culture environment
  • Coaching/sharing knowledge
  • Capability to manage various stakeholders having different objectives
  • A positive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills
  • Comfort in facing and managing complexity
  • Sound judgement and independent decision-making capability where necessary
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Experience in Systems Engineering including; Requirements, Design, Integration and Verification and Validation
  • Experience in ATM Domain and related standards eg. ICAO, Eurocontrol
  • Experience in System Engineering tools eg. DOORs, Polarian, Jira
  • Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering and tools eg. Capella, Enterprise Architect
  • Experience in working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
