Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, commissioning, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair/overhaul of mtu engines and associated equipment at customer locations or in the workshop
  • Independently manage field service jobs in accordance with work orders, ensuring high service quality and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct system acceptance tests with customers or their representatives, including performance verification and complete documentation
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and system-related issues efficiently and accurately
  • Provide timely, detailed, and accurate technical service reports, including investigation summaries, root-cause findings, and corrective actions taken
  • Submit travel reports, job completion summaries, and all required documentation to support project milestones and service outcomes
  • Uphold the mtu brand and Rolls-Royce values when engaging with customers, partners, and internal teams
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards during field and workshop activities

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in the diesel engine or generator industry is preferred
  • Proven experience in servicing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and project execution of engine or power systems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude supported by logical, analytical, and methodical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision while thriving in a collaborative environment
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally as required
  • Knowledge of mtu engines, systems, and digital service tools is a strong advantage
  • Experience in marine or power generation applications is preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service documentation
  • Comfortable working in field conditions and able to respond to service calls at short notice
