Aerospace & DefenseFull-timeGeneral

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimise quantum algorithms tailored to solve challenges in aircraft and drone traffic management, as well as for radar systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify use cases where quantum computing can provide a competitive advantage or enhanced performance.
  • Implement and test quantum algorithms using quantum simulators and available quantum hardware platforms.
  • Analyse classical and quantum data to improve air traffic flow optimisation, collision avoidance, radar signal detection, and classification.
  • Support integration of quantum solutions with existing aerospace systems and infrastructure.
  • Stay current with advancements in quantum computing hardware, software, and methods relevant to aerospace applications.
  • Prepare documentation, technical reports, and presentations to communicate findings and progress to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Quantum Computing, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of quantum computing principles, quantum optimisation algorithms(e.g., QAOA, VQE, etc.), and quantum programming frameworks (e.g., Qiskit, Qadence, Merlin, etc.).
  • Experience in aerospace domains such as air traffic management, drone operations, or radar systems is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in classical programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.
  • Familiarity with signal processing, optimisation algorithms, and traffic management systems.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, D-Wave, Pasqal, Quandela, etc.) is a plus.
