Key Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock based on usage trends and lead times, expediting deliveries to prevent stockouts.
- Conduct monthly forecasting and ageing analysis in SAP, proposing drawdown or disposal plans for excess/obsolete (E&O) stock.
- Coordinate with Procurement on weekly cadences to review shortages, delivery risks, and evaluate RFQs/tenders via Ariba.
- Track supplier OTD, lead times, and responsiveness, proactively identifying and mitigating supply chain risks for critical components.
- Support Engineering by evaluating OEM parts for fit/form/function to achieve cost savings and planning material availability for overhauls.
- Ensure contract terms and pricing are accurately reflected in SAP and adhered to during purchasing activities.
Requirements
- 3–5 years in material planning or procurement within automotive, bus, rail, or heavy equipment sectors.
- Proficiency in SAP (MM/Materials) and Ariba or equivalent e-procurement platforms.
- Proven ability in stakeholder management with Engineering, Maintenance, Depots, and Procurement teams.
- Strong analytical skills using Microsoft Excel; Power BI exposure is a plus.
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to manage inventory replenishment cycles and address stockout situations promptly.
