Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Section Manager in managing, supervising, and ensuring the safety of work teams within the Component Servicing Center.
- Plan, schedule, coordinate, and optimize workshop resources and activities to meet production, quality, reliability, and safety KPIs.
- Liaise with key stakeholders (maintenance, engineering, system management, LTA) to develop and implement technical solutions and modifications.
- Review Work Instructions and Risk Assessments for relevance and adequacy.
- Manage obsolescence issues in collaboration with Engineering and System Management Departments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop capability and quality.
- Ensure internal processes adhere strictly to stipulated SMRT Trains policies, procedures, and manuals.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Strong technical skills and sound decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work hands-on in a maintenance workshop environment alongside technical staff.
- Proven ability to plan, schedule, and organize complex engineering tasks.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Effective organizational and planning capabilities.
- Fluent in written and oral communication in English.
