Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) in collaboration with partners, incorporating Micron standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage and maintain model organization and folder structure within the Common Data Environment (CDE) according to BEP/Micron standards.
- Conduct quality control and health checks on federated and trade models to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to the BIM Execution Plan.
- Lead coordination meetings to resolve model issues and clashes, prioritizing efforts based on construction plans and changes.
- Assist pre-construction teams with constructability reviews and facilitate review sessions between contractors and the Micron operations team.
- Ensure shop drawings are based on coordinated 3D models to minimize rework and verify design changes prior to production.
- Assist in maintaining drawings within Revit and ensuring the accuracy of as-constructed/as-built base design for subsequent users.
- Assist and lead 3D scanning/reality capture initiatives to update models to as-constructed and as-built conditions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all BIM-related matters for both internal and external partners.
- Perform periodic audits to maintain the digital twin's accuracy throughout the facility’s lifecycle.
Requirements
- Tertiary education in Engineering related to AEC industry (Architectural, Engineering, Construction).
- Minimum 3 years of BIM experience in large-scale manufacturing industry projects.
- Strong understanding and good knowledge of BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, Plant 3D, Tekla, Archicad, Sketchup, etc.).
- Familiarity with BIM Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms.
- Passion for BIM applications beyond just design and construction.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of clash detection processes and reporting.
