Key Responsibilities
- Set-up, qualify, perform Preventive Maintenance (PM), calibrate, and troubleshoot R&D equipment while supporting lab operations including audits (Internal/External), EHS, ESD, and Chemical controls.
- Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of engineering equipment, lab layout, and lab builds.
- Establish programs and solutions to increase uptime and resolve equipment issues affecting the engineering process.
- Provide technical support for R&D equipment repairs and define/write preventative maintenance procedures and OJT guides.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on equipment requirements, space planning, purchasing, and installation of R&D equipment.
- Manage equipment inventory controls and critical spare parts planning.
- Coordinate with external vendors regarding training, repair, and preventive maintenance of equipment.
- Analyze stakeholder requirements and expectations to provide timely solutions focused on customer needs.
Requirements
- Experience in setting up, qualifying, and maintaining technical laboratory equipment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex engineering and R&D hardware/software issues.
- Familiarity with lab operational controls including EHS, ESD, and Chemical safety protocols.
- Ability to maintain detailed records on equipment manufacturer technical notices and upgrades.
- Proven ability to manage vendor relationships for maintenance and service contracts.
- Strong analytical skills to assess equipment performance and reliability.
