Key Responsibilities
- Server installation, administration, and performance optimization on RedHat 7/8/9.
- Provide technical assistance and support for application and hardware problems, preparing efficiency reports.
- Maintain production uptime through health checks on physical systems and providing 24x7 support for critical systems.
- Perform root cause analysis of issues, develop action plans, implement changes, and document all work.
- Manage Solaris 10/11 OS administration tasks including zones/LDOMS and ZFS.
- Ensure RHEL and Solaris servers have the latest security OS patches.
- Handle user administration tasks across RHEL 7/8/9, IBM AIX, and Solaris 10/11 servers.
- Migrate servers from RHEL 7 and 8 to RHEL 9.
- Manage storage additions on RHEL/Solaris and IBM AIX servers.
Requirements
- Proven experience in RHEL 7, 8, and 9 administration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Linux clustering and VM-level Linux clusters.
- Proficiency in OS installation, configuration, and fine-tuning across Unix/Linux platforms.
- Strong experience in Linux security, OS hardening, and Auditing.
- Hands-on experience with NFS/DNS/Automount administration and LVM/GFS/Filesystem management.
- Experience in Incident Management, Change Management, and Configuration Management.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues and coordinate with vendors effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
