Key Responsibilities

  • Own and sustain LPI/LPT/ES2 SMIF loadports to meet fab uptime, reliability, and quality targets.
  • Plan, execute, and optimize preventive maintenance (PM), calibration, and spare parts strategy for SMIF/FOUP loadports.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex SMIF issues including mapping errors, ID read fails, and mechanical faults.
  • Explore and implement internal repair capabilities for critical SMIF modules to reduce cost and vendor dependency.
  • Monitor and improve equipment KPIs such as availability, MTBF, MTTR, and alarm rate using collected data.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on reliability upgrades, hardware/software changes, and cycle-time improvements.
  • Coordinate new tool introductions and modifications, including installation, SAT/OQ, and integration testing.
  • Ensure all SMIF loadports comply with EHS, SEMI standards (SMIF/FOUP, E84), and 5S methodology.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation/Control Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in semiconductor front-end or automated wafer handling is required.
  • Strong understanding of mechatronic systems including motors, drives, sensors, and mapping mechanisms.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting SMIF handling issues (mapping, ID, alignment, door faults) is a strong plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical/pneumatic schematics, and vendor manuals.
  • Strong analytical skills using data logs and problem-solving methods (e.g., 5-Why, FMEA).
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with production and maintenance teams.
  • Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment.
