Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and resolve equipment and process challenges at Murata’s ASEAN production sites
  • Conduct market and technology research to support continuous improvement
  • Implement and standardize best practices for production equipment and systems across the organization
  • Provide support for equipment design, modification, and fabrication in control and software domains
  • Support electrical hardware, PLC programming, and PC-based software development
  • Develop and implement data utilization platforms to enhance production efficiency
  • Develop and implement vision systems to enhance production efficiency
  • Manage installation, debugging, and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure reliable performance
  • Minimize equipment downtime through effective troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through technical analysis and system optimization

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, software engineering or relevant engineering
  • Preferably 2–3 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in PLC programming
  • Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as C/C++, VB, and Python
  • Flexibility and readiness to travel on short- and mid-term assignments to Murata’s production sites and partner vendors across ASEAN, Japan, and China
  • Experience in image processing, artificial intelligence (AI), or IT-related skills is an added advantage
  • Excellent analytical, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of Japanese and/or Chinese languages is considered beneficial to liaise with different stakeholders
  • Proactive mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills
