Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate projects from planning to delivery ensuring accurate preparation and execution of all project activities in accordance with A*STAR long-term space plans
- Ensure excellent financial, quality and schedule outcomes
- Lead consolidation and harmonization of different space users' requirements
- Conduct technical feasibility analysis for all space projects to facilitate decision-making
- Support overall budget request process and required procurement process
- Manage construction projects to ensure projects achieve defined scope, quality, budget, safety and time objectives
- Consolidate and validate all actual design specifications with planning team, consultants and equipment manuals with FM team as part of handover
- Provide support to FM team at initial stage of operations and DLP
- Ensure all space planning initiatives comply with building codes, regulations and industry standards across different locations
- Collaborate with facility team, stakeholders/users and landlords at each site to understand specific needs and align on objectives
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with operations team, internal/external stakeholders, consultants and contractors
Requirements
- Possess at least 8 years of relevant experience in construction management and/or asset portfolio management related fields
- Background in Civil & Structural Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in managing R&D space planning would be advantageous
- Knowledge of construction methods and technologies
- Knowledge of sustainability design (BCA Green Mark)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts
- Knowledge of local building-code and construction process
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to work under pressure and adapt to changes within fast-paced environment
- Self-driven and meticulous individual with strong ability to multi-task
- Good time management skills and ability to deliver results under tight timelines
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and organization skills
- Confident to communicate at all levels
