Key Responsibilities
- Work effectively with Operations and Maintenance staff from the Lines as well as other engineering departments to investigate defects.
- To develop methods, propose modifications and improve maintenance strategies to rectify them.
- Analyze and trend condition monitoring and defect data to identify reliability concerns.
- To develop methods, propose modifications and improve maintenance strategies to overcome them.
- Draft technical work instructions for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Identify and implement cost effective technologies to enhance SMRT Signaling, Communication & Control System performance.
- Support LTA and SMRT projects in reviewing project design specifications and ensure their adequacy for the safety, reliability, maintainability and operability.
- To provide other engineering support to the projects, as required.
- Identify and report any safety concerns at the workplace.
- Undertake any other tasks or functions that are incidental or ancillary to the performance of the works, as assigned by supervisor.
- Work in any SMRT lines or Maintenance Depots.
- Work in rotating or fixed shifts
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent from recognized institution
- Previous Railway System experience would be advantageous
- Adept with diagnostic and reliability engineering methodologies, such as Weibull Analysis, Failure Mode and Effect Criticality Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, and Best practices in Maintenance Science
- Exhibit Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable to work hands-on in a maintenance workshops environment alongside other Engineers, Assistant Engineers and Technical Officers.
- Able to work independently and as a team.
- Fluent in written and spoken skills in English
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
- Fluent in written and oral communication skills in English
