Key Responsibilities
- Carry out and support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of solar PV systems, including modules, inverters, and balance-of-system components.
- Provide weekend and overtime (OT) support when required to address critical issues or project requirements.
- Supervise and manage contractors to ensure quality of workmanship, adherence to technical specifications, and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Conduct site audits to assess work quality, safety standards, and compliance with approved SOPs, WIs, and SWPs.
- Ensure contractors submit weekly and monthly reports accurately and on time.
- Act as a Train-the-Trainer resource by guiding and mentoring contractors in technical troubleshooting and best practices.
- Support the development, implementation, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and Safe Work Procedures (SWPs).
- Liaise with external parties such as authorities, town councils, customers, and utility providers to obtain site access, permits, and work clearances.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen and Lean projects, to improve workflow efficiency and operational reliability.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer (RO).
Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in solar PV O&M, electrical maintenance, or related technical fields.
- Hands-on knowledge of solar PV systems, including modules, inverters, racking, protection systems, and monitoring platforms.
- Experience in contractor supervision, site audits, and safety compliance is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Positive, proactive, and safety-oriented work attitude.
- Valid Class 3/3A driving license with personal transportation is preferred.
