Key Responsibilities

  • Receive structured training on end-to-end STOmics workflows, including tissue processing, library preparation, and sequencing-related procedures
  • Be responsible for accurate data entry, update, and maintenance of laboratory documentation, including sample records, QC records, and tracking logs
  • Support senior staff in workflow optimization experiments and troubleshooting activities, including pre-test, validation, and process improvement tasks
  • Complete experimental records in a timely and accurate manner, and actively learn, follow, and support the rollout and updates of laboratory protocols and SOPs
  • Demonstrate effective teamwork, collaborate closely with team members, and adapt to task or workflow adjustments based on project and operational needs
  • Participate in regular weekly reporting, including work progress updates, QC status, documentation updates, and timely issue escalation when required
  • Accept flexible work arrangements when required, including overtime (OT) support to meet project timelines and operational needs

Requirements

  • Degree in Life Sciences or a related field
  • Diploma in Life Sciences or a related field with 1 year working experience
  • Experience in NGS wet-lab techniques, including NGS library preparation and PCR-based library amplification, is desirable
  • Experience in tissue handling and sectioning, with fresh frozen (FF) and/or FFPE samples considered an advantage
  • Hands-on experience with STOmics (Spatial Transcriptomics) workflows is highly preferred
  • Demonstrates strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and commitment to sample quality and accurate documentation
  • Familiar with laboratory practices, SOP-driven workflows, and basic experimental documentation
  • Shows strong learning ability, good communication skills, and self-motivation, with the ability to work effectively in a team and support flexible work arrangements when required
