Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, commissioning, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair or overhaul of mtu engines and associated equipment at customer locations or in the workshop.
  • Manage field service jobs in accordance with approved work orders, technical manuals, and company procedures, ensuring quality standards and customer satisfaction are met.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical or system-related issues efficiently using logical and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Conduct system acceptance tests with customers or their representatives, including performance verification and completion of required documentation.
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate technical service reports, investigation summaries, corrective action reports, travel reports, and job completion documentation.
  • Ensure all service activities comply with workplace safety and health regulations, including company WSH policies and site-specific safety requirements.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism while representing the mtu and Rolls-Royce brand during customer engagements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on service processes, technical issues, and field observations.
  • Carry out additional service or operational tasks as assigned by the Manager or Department Head.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in the diesel engine or generator industry.
  • Proven experience in servicing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and project execution activities.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
