Key Responsibilities

  • Promote zero accident culture and strive towards Group's HSSE KPI targets
  • Cultivate a strong HSSE culture by developing and executing promotional activities, coaching, and training programs.
  • Ensure all project HSSE conform to the Group HSSE policy - implement the appropriate actions to drive compliance and improvements.

  • Oversee & manage HSSE for multiple sites across countries with strong understanding of the latest HSE statutory requirements in the respective countries. This includes the HSSE related risks involved in our business activities and the corresponding plans to manage and mitigate those risks over the asset.
  • Establish guidelines and investigate protocols surrounding HSSE incidents that address reporting criteria, causation, accountability, remedial actions and incident tracking, closure of corrective actions. Ensure effective communication of lesson learnt is disseminated to the team to avoid similar occurrence.
  • Provide guidance and support to operational units on the formulation, review and implementation of the respective HSSE Action Plan.
  • Continuously assess and refine HSSE strategies through regular audits, compliance checks, and site inspections to drive improvement.
  • Develop and drive physical security programs, including security risk assessments and monitoring frameworks.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Registered MOM WSH Officer, Certified Safety Auditor will be preferred.
  • At least 12 years of relevant experience and had led HSSE function previously.
  • Experience in Real Estate/ Construction is required.
  • Experience in problem solving HSSE issues in a dynamic/diverse environment and implementation of risk control systems and processes.
  • A team leader with high integrity, professionalism, and excellent communication skills to appropriately coach and educate employees at all levels.
  • Able to lead through influence across entire organization and beyond.
  • High adaptability and able to work effectively in a matrix structure.
  • Strong time management skills, and orientation to goals with measurable results.
  • Able to travel as and when required.
