Key Responsibilities
- Perform chemical analysis using analytical instrumentation such as but not limited to UPLC, HPLC, FT-IR and GC using existing methods or modification where required.
- Compile and record data for documentation needed for testing and technical reports preparation as per good documentation and good laboratory practice.
- Analyse and interpret test data.
- Work with process scientists and process engineers to provide direct manufacturing support during process start-ups, new product introduction, process modifications/improvement and plant investigations.
- Work with OSP process engineers to anticipate and eliminate any process chemistry related issues through analytical support.
- Work with external vendors for qualification and maintenance of the analytical equipment.
- Flexible work schedules to accommodate to unforeseen work requirements.
- Demonstrate accountability for the technical deliverables and milestones accordingly to agreed timelines.
- Perform equipment troubleshooting where required.
- Practice laboratory good housekeeping and ensure all safety procedures are followed.
- Purchase laboratory consumables and maintain laboratory chemical inventory.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in the laboratory activities.
Requirements
- Minimum Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or related discipline.
- 0-3 years relevant experience in analytical testing
- Core Competencies: All aspects of analytical support, adaptable to dynamic work environment, good oral and written communication, troubleshooting of analytical methods & instrumentation, data analysis and interpretation.
