Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial assessment and positioning for projects entering EDDC's portfolio
- Together with our scientific and development colleagues, define and refine Target Product Profiles with a commercial lens
- Assess competitive landscapes, unmet need, differentiation, and partnering viability
- Identify inflection points that enhance asset value for licensing or co-development
- Develop compelling non-confidential decks and asset narratives
- Conduct market analysis in therapeutic areas of focus
- Continuously monitor evolving standards of care and pipeline developments
- Translate competitive insights into actionable strategy recommendations
- Build and manage relationships with local and global pharma/biotech partners
- Represent EDDC at partnering meetings and international conferences (e.g., BIO)
- Drive BD & licensing and spinoff discussions in collaboration with A*Innovation & Enterprise and A*STAR Legal counterparts
- Drive the set up of contracts such as Non-Disclosure Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, Research Collaboration Agreements, Licensing Agreements together with A*STAR counterparts
Requirements
- Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in pharma/biotech business development, licensing, strategy consulting, venture, or related commercial roles
- Past exposure to deal processes (in-licensing, out-licensing, co-development, or strategic alliances)
- Understanding of drug development pathways (preclinical to clinical), regulatory considerations, and IP strategy
- Able to assess projects objectively, connecting scientific data to market opportunity and/or unmet needs
- Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders internally and externally
- Can manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
